Who we are
Cyprus Toners (cyprustoners.com) is run by P.M. Get Connected Computer Services Ltd, company registration number HE245638, registered at Medousis 8, Shop 4, Larnaca 6059, Cyprus. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
For any privacy question or request, email sales@cyprustoners.com.
What we collect
- Order details — your name, company name and VAT number (if you buy as a business), email address, phone number, invoice and delivery addresses, chosen Akis office or delivery option, purchase-order reference and any notes you add.
- Payment details — card and PayPal payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal. We never see or store your full card number; we receive a payment reference and status. For bank transfers we see the transfer details your bank sends us.
- Messages — what you send us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
- Technical data — your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, kept in server and security logs to protect checkout from fraud and attacks, and saved with your order.
- Cookies — essential cookies that run the shop (basket, language, VAT display), and Google Analytics cookies only if you accept them in the cookie banner.
We do not ask for more than we need to supply your order.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To take, deliver and invoice your order (contract) — including order confirmations, dispatch and tracking messages, and answering your questions.
- To keep accounting and tax records (legal obligation).
- To check business VAT numbers with the EU VIES service, and to protect the shop from fraud and abuse (legitimate interests).
- To help with an order you started but did not finish, and to recognise returning customers (legitimate interests) — we may contact you about an unfinished order, and we may match it to your earlier orders using your contact details or IP address.
- To tell customers about our products and offers by email (legitimate interests). You can ask us to stop at any time.
- Your consent — Google Analytics cookies and Google Customer Reviews. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share only what each party needs:
- Akis Express Couriers — name, delivery address and phone number, to deliver your parcel.
- Stripe and PayPal — to process card and PayPal payments.
- The European Commission VIES service — the VAT number you enter, to confirm it is valid.
- Google — Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Google Customer Reviews — only if you agree in the box shown after your order. Google then emails you a short survey about your purchase. We pass Google your order number, email address, country and estimated delivery date.
- Service providers that run the shop for us — our web hosting provider in the EU, our email provider, internal order-alert services and an AI service that helps our staff analyse sales and orders, under contracts that limit use of the data to providing their service.
- Our accountants and public authorities — where the law requires it (for example tax authorities).
Stripe, PayPal and Google may process data outside the European Economic Area. They do so under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
- Orders, invoices and customer details — kept on file as part of our business and accounting records, and at least for as long as tax law requires.
- Emails and messages — kept with our customer records.
- Security logs — kept for as long as we need them to protect the shop and investigate fraud or attacks.
- Google Analytics data — up to 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent you can withdraw it at any time (for analytics cookies, change your cookie settings). Some data we must or need to keep (for example invoices and order records), so deletion can be limited.
Email sales@cyprustoners.com. We reply within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus (dataprotection.gov.cy).
Security
The shop runs over HTTPS, admin access is restricted and protected, and checkout is monitored for fraud. Card details are entered on Stripe's or PayPal's own secure pages.
Children
Our shop is for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
Changes
We will update this page if how we use personal data changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
